About the role
If you're a detail-oriented chef with a passion for education, sustainability, and quality, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both individuals and communities. Day to day, your role will compromise :-
- Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations in alignment with the Dibber Way, including menu planning, meal preparation, and cleanliness standards.
- Menu Planning and Preparation: Prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks from scratch, ensuring compliance with the National Food Agency's recommendations.
- Procurement and Purchasing: Source ingredients through e-commerce platforms while adhering to framework agreements and budgetary constraints.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Lead kitchen staff through open communication, trust, and mutual respect, fostering a positive work environment.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement waste reduction strategies and participate in daily sustainability efforts.
- Self-Monitoring Program: Follow a rigorous self-monitoring program, including cleaning, washing up, and food premises maintenance.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in educational activities where meals are part of the curriculum, contributing to the learning experience.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets and ensure compliance with the quality objectives of the Dibber Meal.
